Here is a guide containing all knowledge, until today, about the possible problems in Newsletter utilization and the probably solutions. Verify with attention the solutions and recommendations above, because if the product isn't working correctly, very probably, the solution is here.
Solution 01: No e-mails isn't being sent and your computer accesses internet by a network or proxy 1– Use in a network or a proxy The Newsletter must be used in a machine that has direct access to internet. If it isn't installed in a machine that accesses internet by a proxy, it cannot work. If the connection door for sending of e-mails is different of the pattern door (25), you can modify it accessing the menu Tools / Define Configurations, in the "Other Configurations" guide. If the sending of e-mails still doesn't work, contact the responsible by the network that is being used and ask for an orientation to configure correctly or install Newsletter in other machine with internet access. If the proposal solution didn't work too, try other options following the diagram
Solution 02: No e-mail is being sent and your computer DOESN'T access internet by a network or a Proxy or these configurations are appropriated. Your computer has installed a Firewall or anti-virus. 1– Firewall utilization If you are using some Firewall program like Zone Alarm, Norton Security, Sygate etc., disable it or configure it to allow Newsletter accesses internet. For mistake or for any cause you can blocked Newsletter access for internet, impeding its work. If you aren't sure, if your computer has installed or not a Firewall, ask for a specialized technician.
2– Use of anti-virus program (Norton, Mcfee, AVG etc…) Generally the anti-virus doesn’t impede Newsletter’s working, but is recommended that the checking resource that scan the outbox e-mails (that it is being sent) be disable in the anti-virus, because it can harm the performance of the sending or impede the product work. These configurations can be checked and changed in the next anti-virus software that is installed If the proposal solution didn't work too, try other options following the diagram
Solution 03: No e-mail is being sent and your computer DOESN'T access internet by a network or Proxy or this configurations are appropriated. Your computer doesn't have installed Firewall or anti-virus or the configurations of these softwares are appropriated. 1– Try to use other DNS More of one DNS that can be used are detected many times. Go to Tools / Define Configurations" menu and access the "Server" guide. Clock in Detect button. In the DNS field, click in the down arrow and try to use an IP that you still didn't use. Mark the "Auto-Server" box. 2– Find a DNS manually . If Newsletter doesn’t detect your machine’s DNS or the found DNS’s aren’t working, you can try to find them “manually” with other existent option. In the “Tools / Define Configurations” menu, in the “Server” guide, click in “Others DNS” button and type the site address of the companies that have some relation with the access for Internet, or then, test to send the e-mails using any DNS present in the list. 3– Verify the remittent configurations (verify if the remittent e-mail is available): GO to “Tools / Define Configurations” menu and access “Remittent” guide. You must fill all fields of this guide, informing a name and filling the e-mails fields and answer e-mail. The remittent e-mail must be available, because many providers authenticate the remittent e-mail before to accept the message. It is advisable that you test the sending of e-mails with other different domain e-mail*, if the items above have failed. 4– Remittent e-mail differs of the DNS domain. It is ideal to use the remittent e-mail DNS. For example: If you are using an IG email in the configurations of the remittent, the ideal is you use the IG’s DNS to send e-mails. In the configurations (Tools / Define Configurations menu), go to “Server” and click in “Other DNS” button. Type www.ig.com.br and click in “Detect” button. Use one of the DNS’s that appear in the detection.
Solution: The most the e-mails are giving sending errors, but a few of them are sent 1- Anti-virus verification: If you have any anti-virus software installed (Norton, Mcafee, Avast, Avg etc.). Disable the virus checking option in the e-mails that are sent, because it reduces the performance and impede that many e-mails are sent; 2- Many e-mails with exceeded time: Probably the e-mail’s total size (text and images) is very big. You can make the optimization of the image size, reducing it for a minimum size. Reduce the amount of the simultaneous connections (for broadband, use between 10 and 30 connections in this case). Configure the maximum wait time with values that is more than 120 seconds; 3- SPAM prevention politician: The providers have several politicians to impede that many e-mails of a same remittent are accepted, with the purpose to prevent the SPAM. To expand the amount of the accepted e-mails in provider with these restrictions, you can do this: 3.1- Use available e-mails in the remittent configurations; 3.2- - Insert any personalized field in the message subject for all messages have a subject with some different stretch. You can put an e-mail column in the subject personalization, for example, like this for: Import report for #email. In each sent message, the #email text will be substituted by a recipient’s e-mail. It can be done with any column recipient’s list. 3.3- Try to change Newsletter identification. Go to Tools / Define Configurations menu, in the “Other Configurations” guide and use others identifications for Newsletter, or let the field in white.
4- Others factors: Verify again the item 4 of the topic “Solution 3”. Try to use other e-mail because the e-mail that you are using can be causing fail in the e-mails authentication or they can be in black lists in some providers. Test other DNS. If you are making the sending using a SMTP Server in the com figurations, verify this: - Unless you have your own SMTP Server, when you do the sending by a SMTP, you will be using resources of your access provider. Many access providers have restrictions of using, like: 1- To have a maximum limit of e-mails that can be sent in a certain interval of time. In this case, it is recommended you make a sending using a Newsletter auto-server;
2-To have a limit of simultaneous sending connections. In this case, contact you access provider to what is the limit. After, go to Tools / Define Configurations menu and change the “Amount of simultaneous connections” field for the fixed limit.
Solution 05: Verification of the configurations for sending by SMTP The same configurations used in popular softwares customer of e-mails like Outlook Express, Eudora and others can be made in Newsletter. If you don’t know how to make this configurations ask for a specialized technical or contact your access provider.
